A dentist specialising in the care of children and people with disabilities, she currently works at the CEU Cardenal Herrera University (Valencia, Spain) where she combines teaching at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level with care work in a unit mainly aimed at people with intellectual disabilities. Throughout her personal and professional career she has had the opportunity to work outside Spain on two occasions and in two different contexts: the first in Villa El Salvador (Lima-Peru) for nine years as part of a healthcare project funded by the AECID (Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation). And the second, shorter, one lasted 9 months as part of a socio-educational inclusion project for children in extreme poverty and in many cases with disabilities in Macia (Mozambique) belonging to the Mozambique Baptist Convention. On both occasions and in very different ways, the work she did was in healthcare and team coordination.
