WISLA (POLAND) · 16 MAY 2025 · 11:16 CET

May brings a regular event on the European evangelical calendar: hundreds of Christian leaders from over 50 countries will gather for the 2025 edition of the European Leadership Forum.
One day before the start of the event, the organisers of the meeting, which seeks to connect and train church and organisation leaders for the ‘re-evangelisation of Europe and the renewal of the biblical church,’ told Evangelical Focus that 880 participants have registered and will travel to Wisła (Poland).
For all of Europe
Since its first edition 24 years ago, ELF has become a forum for thought and resources for action in which regions that are not very visible in the Protestant Christian world, such as Central, Eastern and Southern Europe, have a strong presence.
Leonardo De Chirico (Italy) and Zefjan Nikola (Albania) will be among the speakers at the plenary sessions, which will also feature Peter J. Williams (who will preach on the book of Judges in the Old Testament), Rico Tice and Heather Holdsworth (from the United Kingdom).
These main sessions can be followed for free and live via the ELF platform.
Each morning, participants on site will be divided into 31 networks according to their usual area of work, including Science, Media, Theology, Discipleship, Apologetics, Youth Ministry, Ministry with Muslims, and Arts.
Dozens of thematic seminars on current issues and the gospel will be available to participants in the afternoons, addressing topics such as the evolution of artificial intelligence, church planting, mental health, current apologetic debates, and the challenges of church leadership.
ELF 2025 will offer a total of 453 sessions during the week-long event (16-22 May).
Broad programme
Furthermore, the programme includes times of worship, artistic initiatives, evening sessions and a large bookshop with discounted prices.
Year-Round Mentorings will also begin durung this week, which are highly specific programmes offered by ELF beyond the annual conference.
On 19 May, dozens of organisations will present their work at the Expo. A stand will also be available for Evangelical Focus.
More than 100 volunteers, many from the United States, join the staff of the Forum of Christian Leaders (FOCL) to organise this annual conference, which its director, Greg Pritchard, describes as ‘the tip of the iceberg’ of the gospel initiatives that take place throughout the rest of the year.
